Hornet shows ads in the free version of the app because advertising helps us fund the costs of running the platform, building new features, and improving the experience for everyone. Ads are part of how we keep Hornet free to use.
At the same time, we understand that ads affect your experience. This is one of the most carefully monitored areas in our company, and our leadership reviews ad performance every day. We continuously evaluate data on how users interact with ads so we can balance revenue needs with a comfortable user experience. People have different tolerances for ads, and some may feel that the number shown is too many.
