Travel Mode lets you set your visible location to any city in the world for one hour. When it is active, your profile appears in the chosen location, and you can browse the grid as if you are physically there. This is useful if you want to connect with locals before a trip, make plans in advance, or simply explore another city’s community.
To activate travel mode, follow the simple steps below.
- Open the Hornet app and go to your Grid.
- Tap the Search Bar.
- Tap Travel Mode.
- Select your desired location.
- Confirm and activate.
Once you activate Travel Mode, your profile will appear in the selected location for one hour, and you can change the location at any time within the hour. Other users will see that you are using Travel Mode, but your actual location will remain hidden. Your profile will simply appear as if you are in the selected city.
To enhance your experience, we’ll send you insights on the number of views and interactions your profile received while in Travel Mode. To make the most out of Travel Mode, here are some tips:
- Choose popular destinations: Cities with more users will give you better engagement and interactions.
- Activate at peak times: More people online means better chances to connect. try using Travel Mode in the evenings when users are more active.
- Update your profile: Make sure your main profile photo is engaging and represents you well to attract more attention.
- Avoid last-minute profile changes: New photos go through moderation, so upload any changes in advance to ensure they’re visible when you activate Travel Mode.
